The Mortelmans family and his artists

EXPOSITION presenting about 40 'flower' paintings of Frans Mortelmans, as a same number of 'portraits' of his cousin Franck Mortelmans.
'Casteels Rozen' takes care of the decoration with fine roses.
 

 
On the 12th of September, the KBC invited the Lodewijk & Frans Mortelmans npa, some of his members and former boardmembers to a reception, followed by a recital of the well-known pianist Jozef de Beenhouwer and soprano Liesbeth Devos presenting us some exclusiv pearls and Lieder of Lodewijk Mortelmans.

Presentation of a commemorative plate on the residence of Lodewijk Mortelmans
Regarding the 60th Anniversary of the death of Lodewijk Mortelmans, a commemorative plate was presentated at his house in presence of the Antwerp Alderman of Culture, Philip Heylen.

Sopran Cristel De Meulder, accompanied by the Lithuanian concert pianist Sviesé Cepliauskaitéé, will bring romantic music of our famous flemish composers Lodewijk Mortelmans and August De Boeck, as from Chopin. The piano player is famous for her performances of Chopin, and was therefor crownd piano virtuoso in Poland by the Frederic Chopin Society. Beatrijs van Craenenbroeck will read poems of Anton van Wilderode and of his poet friends.
